Video chat roulette is the concept of connecting two random strangers face-to-face via webcam. Popularised by Chatroulette in 2009, the format is still one of the most exciting ways to meet people online — and PairUp.chat brings it into 2026 with proper moderation and interest-matching.
Click Connect and our matching engine spins to find you a live partner. If the chemistry is off, click Skip and spin again in seconds. Unlike old-school chat roulette sites, PairUp.chat lets you set your interests first — so the "random" person you meet is random within a group that actually interests you.
Classic Chatroulette became notorious for inappropriate content. PairUp.chat uses computer-vision content moderation that reviews the video stream in real time and auto-disconnects policy violations before you even see them. Our chat roulette experience is clean by default.
Is PairUp.chat like Chatroulette?
Yes — same concept, but with interest filters and real moderation so the experience is much safer.
Can I use video chat roulette on mobile?
Yes. PairUp.chat works on iPhone and Android directly in the browser.
