PairUp.chat July 2026 Video Call Updates — Background Search, Match Sound & Privacy-First AI

In July 2026 PairUp shipped a focused video-call release: keep searching while you browse the app, hear when a match lands, run privacy-first on-device AI moderation, and use a cleaner mobile in-call layout.

Background search + match sound

Start finding a match on Video, then switch to Lobby, Find, Pulse, or Circles — search continues with a floating FINDING MATCH indicator. A short chime plays when a match connects. Leaving mid-call still ends the active session; stickiness is search-only.

Privacy-first live video AI

NSFW classification runs on-device (NSFWJS). Video frames are never uploaded. Only lightweight moderation metadata may be sent. Enforcement is progressive: warn → final warn with blur → disconnect, with strike cooldowns.
